Matthew is the director and founder of MT Lawyers. He has over 20 years of local and international experience in Adelaide, London and Hong Kong.

Matthew advises on all aspects of superannuation, estate and succession law, with a specific focus on self-managed superannuation funds and complex estate and succession planning.

Best Lawyers (the oldest and most highly-respected peer review guide to the legal profession worldwide) has recognised Matthew as one of Australia’s leading lawyers in the fields of Wealth Management and Succession Planning lawyers (each year since 2014) and Trusts and Estates (each year since 2018).

Matthew was also awarded ‘Lawyer of the Year’ by his peers in 2019 and 2021 for being Adelaide’s top ranked Wealth Management and Succession Planning lawyer.

Prior to establishing MT Lawyers in 2011, Matthew worked in top tier law firms for more than 10 years, including as a Partner of Minter Ellison in Adelaide and a Senior Lawyer of Freshfields in London. As a result, Matthew has personally advised some of the largest and most successful businesses and families in Australia and the world.
